Maybanke Road Reserve
This small local park is located next to the Community Centre on Harris street in Pyrmont. For many years there has been no wheelchair access either from the Community Centre or from Harris Street, which is some 3 meters below. City of Sydney set an ambitious goal to make this park fully accessible, as well as upgrade the street furniture and make the park an attractive meeting and eating place for local workers and residents. Umbaco worked through complex levels and an old sandstone retaining wall to provide much needed access. In doing so we created a small secluded courtyard on top of the existing sandstone retaining wall.
