Fairfield Heights Play space
Fairfield Heights Play space is a medium sized park nestled in the neighbourhood of Fairfield, in Western Sydney. Umbaco Landscape Architects was commissioned to prepare the masterplan and detailed documentation for the park.
The concept was inspired by the 8 creeks of Fairfield and it’s surroundings, to create a journey through the land, the hills and the creeks, culminating in a tree house. A multitude of play elements follow a winding serpentine path that circulates through all play areas, while also connecting to the streets and residential dwellings. An accessible path links through the park.
The playground caters to all age groups with a junior play space, nature play, water play, a junior bike track, a double flying fox, with seating, amenities and fitness catering for parents and other park users.
The existing Eucalyptus trees provide shade and a native backdrop, while shade structures and water play help cool this western Sydney park.
