Lansdowne Gardens Aged Care
Lansdowne Gardens provide care for aged residents with varying care needs, mostly high level, palliative, and for those with limited mobility. The brief for this confined inner city aged care facility was to create an attractive, safe and comfortable restorative environment for residents, staff and visitors within the combined heritage and contemporary buildings, whilst retaining neighbourhood characteristics.
This miniature botanic garden presents a multitude of lush green spaces, as a restorative place of refuge and retreat for the residents of this aged care facility.
An intricate water feature stream links the old and the new, between a restored heritage building and the new facility with multiple garden views from the new facility.
From exposed green roofs with Harbour views, to exotic or shaded courtyards, to garden conservatories, and an open entry garden, these gardens provide a sanctuary for the residents and staff of the facility, while blending into the neighborhood character.
