Prince Edward Playspace
Prince Edward Park is situated in a delightful and picturesque part of Woronora on the banks of Woronora River. Following the preparation of a Master Plan for the reserve Umbaco has designed this local playspace as a part of Stage 1 of a our Master Plan. This site is a transitional space for nearby public school and as such the focus of our design has been to provide fun and relief for the school kids and their families. Exquisite timber craftsmanship can be appreciated on the custom built climbing tower made out of Australian hardwood, connecting to a large spacenet through a rope bridge. Swinging, revolving, running around or just hanging out offers dynamic play activities. New picnic shelters and seating ensures comfort for the families. A large sandstone sculpture of a native “mud crab” will remind the children connection with local wildlife on the banks of the river.
